Sona Mazumdar, a Media and Entertainment specialist with over 20 years of experience, is a BSc. (Statistics) graduate from University of Mumbai. She holds a PG Diploma in Computer Science along with Management in Business Administration in Marketing. She added on Digital Marketing to her professional skills with a course from MICA 2 years back. She has been a key driver in building and managing business for multiple companies within the Media & Entertainment as well retail & theme park as space, delivering a steady YoY growth. A campus recruit, at the Times of India group Sona was a part of Special Projects team where she launched a lifestyle magazine for Men called ‘It’s a Guy thing’ along with multiple other proactive revenue generating initiatives under the mentorship of the Director Response. She along with the editor and business head of Economic Times – Time’N’Style represented the company at the Basel exhibition in 2002 being one of the junior most employee ever to go on an international project representing the company. Post that she held the position of Region Head - West at Turner International where she was identified as one of Turner’s ‘Emerging Leader’s’ in September 2007. She was also one of the youngest employee at Cartoon Network to take on regional role in November 2006. During her tenure with Cartoon Network, she successfully grew revenues by 100%. At KidZania, where she was a part of the Indian leadership team and in her role as the Chief Partnership Officer was responsible for forging revenue based long term partnerships with companies Pan India thereby establishing KidZania as the most favoured platform for experiential marketing for brands. She has represented the organisation across various marketing forums, got featured in publications and was bestowed with ‘Innovation Leadership Award’ at Women’s Leadership Congress Awards in 2019.

After a stint at KidZania for nearly 8 years; she joined Parentune, a parenting network website working with the founder to help forge partnerships with brands and help in growing their sponsorship revenue.

An excellent business leader who drives her business goals and team through her contagious energy and passion underlying with a key goal of making organisations grow. Strategies she developed, have given the organizations a solid long-term future with both a company culture and a customer base which continues to grow. Her core strength lies in networking and forging senior level relationships with CXO’s of companies.

A travel buff, Sona loves to explore new destinations with her husband and children and loves to network and meet people from various walks of life.
